AcuraCoat® On-Line CVD System, float glass manufacturing facility construction

AcuraCoat® On-Line Pyrolytic CVD System

Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) is a chemical process used to produce high-purity, high-performance solid materials. The process is used in the glass industry to produce thin films or coatings such as Low E coatings. In a typical CVD process, the glass (substrate) is exposed to one or more volatile precursors, which react and/or decompose on the substrate surface to produce the desired deposit.
The AcuraCoat® On-Line Pyrolytic Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) System is an on-line coating technology integrated directly into the float glass manufacturing process. It can apply Reflective, Low E, Solar Control and Photovoltaic hard coatings. AcuraCoat® CVD technology is specifically designed to produce energy efficient pyrolytic coated glass products, such as, Reflective, Low E, Solar Control, and Photovoltaic.
The AcuraCoat® system is integrated directly into the narrow end of the float bath furnace through one of its sides.
A well constructed on-line Pyrolytic CVD system should typically last 10-12 years.
The AcuraCoat® system is capable of producing Reflective, Low E, Solar Control, and Photovoltaic hard coatings.
Yes, it is possible to retrofit an AcuraCoat® system into any float bath furnace.
No, the float bath furnace does not need to be shut down during the installation of the AcuraCoat® On-Line CVD system.
There is an 18 month lead time for a turnkey AcuraCoat® On-Line Pyrolytic CVD System.
The type(s) of Pyrolytic coatings desired and the capacity of the float facility will determine the cost of the On-Line CVD system: 8,000,000 USD – 20,000,000 USD.
Low-E Pro is the most advanced pyrolytic Low-E available. Low-E Pro has better performance than standard Low-E, which allows consumers to save money on their energy bills. Low-E Pro is also easier and cheaper to produce than similar non pyrolytic glass.
The Temperature Profile System allows ribbon temperatures to be intelligently monitored and controlled automatically. The temperature of the ribbon is analyzed and heaters are adjusted continuously to achieve stable and uniform temperature profiles.
To protect workers and the environment waste gasses are automatically neutralized in the emissions control system. We offer a variety of options for complying with even the most stringent emissions regulations.
